Big-Data.AI and Quantum Summit 2023 spark discussions on AI, data and quantum computing

1.700 participants, 190+ speakers, 120+ sessions and five stages: this were Big-Data.AI and Quantum Summit 2023

Two days of discussions and interactions around the potential of AI, data and quantum computing have inspired and energised the audience. Having two events under one roof, we experienced an intensive exchange of ideas and demonstrated how these technologies can be leveraged for transformative change.

Opened by Dr Marianne Janik (Member of the Executive Board, Bitkom) and Dr Marco Buschmann (Federal Minister of Justice), this year's summits focused on cooperation between the economy, policy, and citizens: "We have the people, we have the know-how, and if we now get appropriate regulation, we will also show in Europe what we can create."

Highlighting the significance of our approach to upcoming innovations, Bitkom President Dr Ralf Wintergerst stated on the second day of the conferences: "How we currently engage with new, promising technologies will determine our digital future and sovereignty. Not only for Germany but for all of Europe."

Nico Kelling (Infineon Technologies) stressed the urgency of technological development: "This is about Deep Tech. We must not waste time – we need cases that inspire."

Dr Petra Wolff (Federal Ministry of Education and Research) made it clear that despite generous research funding, we are still too hesitant when it comes to investing in the next generation of quantum computing talent. However, there is a positive aspect: She outlined a seamless educational pathway from school to quantum research.

The next Big-Data.AI and Quantum Summit will be held on 25 and 26 September 2024. We are looking forward to welcoming you in Berlin!
